CCNP Course Description

The CCNP Routing & Switching certification consist of 3 tests. After passing the last test, your CCNP will be valid for 3 years from the date you passed your last CCNP test. Also each time you pass a CCNP exam, your CCNA certification gets renewed as well. So, if your CCNA certification is about to expire and you have passed the CCNP exam, then your CCNA will be renewed for another three years (till the time your CCNP certification is valid).

Any valid Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching certification or any Cisco CCIE certification

To apply for the CCNP exam, you must successfully clear entry-level Cisco certifications. These include: CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Collaboration and CCNA Industrial, etc. Following are the three exams around CCNP Routing and Switching that should be cleared: 300-101 ROUTE: Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE) – This exam certifies the skills and knowledge around routing 300-115 SWITCH: Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks (SWITCH) – This exam will prepare the learner on planning, verifying, and configuring complex enterprise switching solutions 300-135 TSHOOT: Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks (TSHOOT) – Prepares the learner to plan and perform complex enterprise routed and switched networks
